Special Mention 2019 Architizer A+Awards
GD Arredamenti is proud to announce that Rosa Dei Venti has been selected as a Special Mention in the 2019 Architizer A+Awards for the Furnishings – Residential Furniture category. Out of the thousands of projects that were submitted, less than 5% were chosen by the Jury as Special Mention honorees. By coming this far, GD Arredamenti has proven that its work is one of the few that truly stands out.
The Architizer A+Awards is the largest awards program focused on promoting and celebrating the year’s best architecture and products. Its mission is to nurture the appreciation of meaningful design in the world and champion its potential for a positive impact on everyday life. Imagine your best work in front of a global audience of 400+ million.
Winners are chosen by our illustrious jury including such industry luminaries as Denise Scott Brown, Bjarke Ingels and Tom Kundig, as well as personalities from beyond architecture like Tony Hsieh (CEO, Zappos), Yves Behar (Fuseproject), John Edelman (CEO, Design Within Reach), and Cameron Sinclair (Architecture for Humanity).
Rosa dei Venti is the new sideboard furniture piece designed by Andrea Lucatello for GD Arredamenti. Designed to recreate at its focal point a Compass Rose (Rosa dei Venti), thanks to a peculiar thickness of these four doors, GD Arredamenti was able to carve into the oak wood and to reproduce a slanted edge on each door. Fully made in European oak and tinted in a dark warm grey; it stands on 4 solid bronze legs that simulate the Compass Rose as well.
